Tiled carpet for office

Carpet tiles (tiled carpet) – one of the best coverings for the office. In terms of durability, it is not inferior to other materials for fine finishing, and in terms of comfort it surpasses most of them.

Carpet tiles are produced by many European manufacturers. Unlike classic carpet, tile carpet has a rigid base made of rubber or polyvinyl chloride, a reinforcing layer of fiberglass and nylon pile.

Advantages of modular carpet

Ease of installation and maintainability – perhaps one of the most valuable qualities of the product. Tiles packed in boxes are convenient to transport, rearrange, lift to the office. Finishing takes a little time, and the tiles can be cut with a knife to create contours in places with complex geometries.

For fastening, a fixative is used, which, unlike glue, does not stick the squares tightly, but creates a special sticky surface. If necessary, the coating can be removed without damaging the modules. This is convenient if you need to dismantle the floors for laying in another office or restoration. If individual fragments get dirty or become unusable, it is enough to remove them and replace them with new ones. The same property allows you to combine tiles with raised floors. The raised floor will hide all communications, and the tiles will leave access to the right places.

Using tiles of different colors, designers favorably zone the premises, create extraordinary interior solutions. After laying, a visually integral, monolithic surface is created. The first days between the modules, joints may be noticeable. Over time, they will close with a pile.

High resistance to mechanical influences is important for office floor coverings. Aggressive factors for them are not only a high throughput load, but also furniture – in particular, classic office chairs on wheels. It is they who are dangerous for the carpet – they wipe the tracks on it, form folds and waves, etc. Therefore, modular tiles are preferable to other carpets – they are durable, inflexible, resistant to deformation and are rarely produced with a class below 33 (maximum).

Due to the multi-layer structure, tile carpet provides good heat and sound insulation, reducing noise by 20-30 decibels, withstands fluctuations in humidity and temperature. Such characteristics are especially valuable if the room is humid or heated floors are installed.

Finally, some brands offer carpet tiles with antistatic properties. For this, special processing is carried out – for example, graphite compounds are introduced into the fibers. Such models are optimal for rooms with a large number of computers and office equipment. It should be remembered that to ensure the antistatic effect, the conductive tile must be grounded.

Criteria for choosing floor coverings in office premises

Wear resistance. Modular tile is a dense, rather heavy material that can withstand the most intense load.

Safety for walking in shoes. The surface of the carpet tiles does not slip, and the pile is elastic enough not to interfere with walking even in heels.

Simple care. The coating allows the use of detergent compositions.

Aesthetics. Due to the variety of designs, it is easy to find an option for an office interior in any style.

Affordable cost. Tiled carpet is more expensive than rolled carpet, but the difference in price is offset by a minimum amount of waste (2-5%).

Environmental friendliness. Responsible manufacturers use environmentally friendly raw materials and test products, which is confirmed by the relevant certificates. Additionally, it is worth mentioning the antifungal and antibacterial treatment.
